Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to recipes and menu specifications.

  • Plan menus, determine food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.

  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Supervise kitchen helpers and assist in training new staff.

  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health regulations.

  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or issues.

  • Maintain proper food storage and waste disposal procedures.

  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Completion of secondary school is preferred.

  • Culinary training or professional cooking certification is an asset.

  • Proficiency in food preparation and kitchen operations.

  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.

  • Basic communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Experience:

Working Hours:
