A local government agency located in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking Crossing Guards to ensure pedestrian safety at school crossings. The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently in all weather conditions, and be physically capable of quick movement in emergencies. A clear Criminal Record Check is mandatory. The position pays $18.47 per hour and requires up to 20 hours bi-weekly.

The role of the School Crossing Guard is to direct and supervise the movement of persons (as defined in the HTA) across a highway (the HTA term for any public road) by creating necessary gaps in vehicular traffic to provide safe passage at a designated school crossing location.
Note: Mandatory attendance in a group training session is required, for which you will be compensated.
