  • Investigate incidents and near misses thoroughly, preparing clear reports and actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence
  • Champion a positive safety culture through consistent on-site presence, open communication, and collaborative problem-solving with subcontractors and crews
Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or any relevant field
  • Valid Construction Safety Officer (CSO) certification recognized in BC (e.g., BCCSA CSO, NCSO or equivalent)
  • Minimum two (2) years of construction safety experience, ideally on civil, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC OHSR, applicable guidelines, and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) to support documentation, analysis, and communication
  • Excellent communication skills in English in order to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders and clients
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to project sites across the province
