Overview

Our client is seeking a proven Construction Director to lead its Canadian construction division, based out of Burlington, Ontario. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the President of the Americas, with a mandate to oversee and grow the business in a complex GC / CM environment.

Local Market Expertise: Proven experience with Ontario-based Data Centre projects is highly valued, ensuring you bring the technical know-how to deliver in a highly specialized sector.

Supply Chain Network: Strong relationships with local trades, subcontractors, and suppliers will give you the edge in ensuring quality delivery and competitive pricing.

Lead and manage the Canadian construction operations, ensuring excellence in project delivery, financial performance, and client satisfaction.

Work closely with senior leadership across North America, providing strategic input and ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals.

Build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Leverage your local trade and supply chain network to enhance execution capabilities.

Oversee project governance, safety standards, and compliance.

Profile / Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within the construction industry, ideally with Data Centre, mission-critical, or large-scale ICI projects.
  • Strong background in GC / CM project delivery with a track record of managing complex, high-value builds.
  • Demonstrated success in P&L ownership, business growth, and strategic leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Recognized professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., PMP, Gold Seal) is an asset but not required.
  • Deep understanding of the Ontario construction market, with a network of trusted trade partners and suppliers.
