About the Role

We have a female client located at Clark Ave W and Bathurst St who is seeking a compassionate and caring companion. The shift is ongoing, every Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.

This lovely client is looking for a wonderful companion to spend quality time with her. Additionally, you may have opportunities to work with other clients we support.

Qualifications

• Companion/Homemaker: Warm, caring, and reliable individuals with a passion for helping others.
• Personal Support Worker: PSW Certificate or equivalent (e.g., foreign-trained nurse, nursing student with at least one year of training).
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Clear Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening) or willingness to obtain one.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
• Reliable internet access and a mobile phone.
• Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer’s care is an asset (but not required).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation to maintain a comfortable home environment.
• Support clients with ambulation, outings, and errands.
• Offer medication reminders and basic health-related tasks.
• Help clients manage daily activities with care and dignity.
• Follow and update care plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
