Job summary

A leading home care agency in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to conduct patient assessments and provide medication support. Candidates should have certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario and be able to work flexible shifts. Responsibilities include updating care plans and responding to emergencies. We are seeking an RPN for The Elden in Bradford. Shifts vary on weekdays and weekends. We are looking for casual staff that can commit to ongoing shifts and pick up additional shifts with other clients as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting assessments and reassessments

  • Providing medication support and administration
  • Responding to all emergency situations
  • Completing reports and communicating with the family about any changes in care
  • Meeting the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times
  • All other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
  • Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Vulnerable sector check within last 6 months and 2 satisfactory professional references
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle
  • Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints and in accordance with job routines, while observing policies and procedures as well as applicable work standards and safety regulations
