Job description

We are seeking highly skilled Commercial Contract Lawyers with 8 to 16 years of experience to support our clients on part-time and full-time engagements. Our clients are some of the world's largest and most influential companies in retail, technology, consumer goods, and professional services. Successful candidates will gain valuable exposure to leading global companies across diverse industries and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts such as vendor agreements, supply agreements, licensing agreements, IT agreements, SaaS agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide informed advice on contract terms and conditions, collaborating with external vendors, customers, and suppliers to reach favorable outcomes.
  • Identify potential legal and business risks within commercial contracts and develop strategic solutions to mitigate these risks effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • A minimum of 2-8 years of experience practicing law with a specific focus on commercial contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiation, preferably within an in‑house environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in creating contract templates and managing contract databases is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and a meticulous eye for detail, with an ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Marketing experience beneficial.
