Job description

WSP is currently seeking Co‑op Students to join our Regional Roads team, located in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Grand Prairie, Edson. Reporting to the Area Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting projects primarily in the field and office as well.

Expected start date : May 2026

Duration : 4-months & 8-months

What you can expect to do here:
  • To work with Project Managers, Technicians and Surveyors on the delivery of a variety of complex transportation engineering projects;
  • Travel to various projects throughout the assigned region to ensure required tasks are completed in a timely manner and construction schedules are not compromised;
  • Perform various material testing in accordance with procedures outlined in Contract Specifications, CSA and ASTM;
  • Assist and/or perform various surveys on various projects throughout the assigned region as required and outlined in Contract Specifications;
  • Support the engineering team with onsite construction surveying using GPS, Drone and conventional survey methods;
  • Prepare laboratory test reports, and field review reports;
  • Ability and willingness to travel, work away from home for extended periods of time, and work long hours;
  • Other duties as assigned.
