What you can expect to do here:
  • Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with various design and project activities in the office;
  • Assist with technical analysis and design;
  • Assist with preparing technical reports;
  • Use AutoCad Civil 3D to preparedesign drawings;
  • Use modelling software to create models for water and storm infrastructure;
  • Assisting Field Inspectors onsite in construction coordination and inspection on projects in Victoria and the surrounding area;
  • Assisting Field Inspectors in resolving construction issues;
  • Daily progress and HSE reporting;
  • Completion of construction as-builts for record keeping/approval purposes;
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
  • 3rd year or higher student pursing your Civil Engineering Degree;
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, including teamwork and interpersonal abilities;
  • Proficient technical writing abilities;
  • Comfortable with working independently in a field and/or office environment;
  • A suitable working vehicle and valid driver’s license are an asset for this position.
Compensation

Salary range (in British Columbia):$24.00/hr - $32.25/hr

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
