A governmental organization is seeking a Team Assistant in Invermere, BC, to provide administrative support within a collaborative team dedicated to assisting children, youth, and families. The role involves management of client intake, liaison duties, and direct support for social workers and clinicians. Candidates should have a secondary school diploma and relevant experience in a computerized environment, showcasing strong customer service abilities, teamwork, and independent work. Full-time on-site work is required for this part-time position, ensuring that applicants are situated within BC at the time of employment.
The Invermere office is an established, collaborative team of six that supports children, youth, and families through close work with child protection services, social workers, and Children & Youth Mental Health clinicians. Working side by side with social workers, child protection staff, and Children & Youth Mental Health clinicians, the team supports one another in a fast‑paced and often sensitive environment. Everyone plays a part in creating a welcoming, inclusive space where families feel respected and supported, and where collaboration with community partners and leadership is part of everyday work.
As a Team Assistant with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, you provide essential program, administrative, and clerical support, working directly with professional staff on program responsibilities. You are the first point of contact for the public, completing intake, liaising with clients and partners, and supporting clinicians and social workers, while also covering office manager duties when required. Your work directly contributes to helping families access services, promoting equitable access to care, and creating a welcoming, supportive environment for children, youth, and families, particularly within Children & Youth Mental Health (CYMH).

There is one part time position available (35 hour bi weekly). This position has full time on-site requirements. An eligibility list may be established to fill both current and/or future permanent vacancies. A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
