Job summary

A healthcare provider in Manitoba seeks a Clinical Service Lead for Recreation Therapy in Winnipeg. Experience
  • Minimum of five years of recent Therapeutic Recreation experience in a large complex environment with at least two years in the designated service area required.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation required, preferred specialization in Therapeutic Recreation.
  • Postgraduate research degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field, or other post graduate degree relevant to the position, preferred.

Special Training:

  • Leadership training preferred.
  • Completion of, and ongoing participation in, relevant continuing professional education in designated clinical area and in other areas as needed to address continuing education requirements for the position.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Membership with the Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association and Recreation Manitoba preferred.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

  • Ability to perform both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to critically evaluate and apply relevant knowledge to practice.

  • Ability to delegate appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegation.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
