Clinical Extern (Occupational Therapy), Professional Practice - 1 position

Temporary Part Time · Salary Range: $20.60 /hour
This is a temporary part-time position that is expected to extend until March 31, 2027, subject to the availability of work.
Through a patient and family-centered approach, the Clinical Extern (occupational therapy) will work under the direct and/or indirect supervision of registered staff, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team as an unregulated care provider, to promote and advocate for wellness while ensuring the delivery of holistic, high quality and safe care to patients.
This is an exciting opportunity for occupational therapy students to work in a clinical environment where they can develop their clinical skills and expertise, knowledge, and self-confidence as they prepare to transition into a regulated health professional. The Externs will work at one of the St. Joseph's Health Care sites.
Reporting to the Professional Practice Partnership Program, the Clinical Extern (occupational therapy) will work part-time hours to a maximum of full-time hours (37.5 hours per week). The scheduling of these hours will be determined based on organizational needs and may include day/evening and weekend shifts.
The anticipated start: late April or early May 2026.
