Working under the direction of the Manager, Professional Practice and in collaboration with the Program Managers, Advanced Practice Nurses, Clinical Extern and Student Pathways Supervisor and educational partners, the Clinical Educator assists clinical staff in preparing for contemporary practice through the provision of education and professional development activities. The Clinical Educator supports clinical staff to acquire and maintain nursing/clinical core competencies, knowledge and skills reflective of the most current evidence-based care for individuals admitted to specialized hospital services. The Clinical Educator will promote and provide support and assistance to individual clinical staff member’s professional accountability for reflective practice and self-directed learning. They will support coverage for co-workers and staff when required. The Clinical Educator will ensure that educational activities reflect the Mission, Vision, Values, goals, and priorities of Providence Care.
