The File Maintenance Clerk is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Clerk will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures.
  • Keep work area clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge; remain aware of product changes and seasonal requirements.
  • Use appropriate computer applications and pricing program, ensuring pricing data is inputted and that price changes are activated.
  • Monitor and edit discontinued and deleted items.
  • Ensure accurate verification of shelf tags to computer file, warehouse prices, and detail order books.
  • Ensure daily price change printouts are reviewed and price change batches are reconciled.
  • Ensure data from file server is imported, changes are verified, and data is transferred to POS.
  • Ensure shelf labels, signage, and displays are created and displayed to company standards.
  • Ensure various item reports are prepared and forwarded to appropriate departments.
  • Train junior staff, as required.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Above average communication skills (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated initiative and motivation with a commitment to teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An ability to understand and implement Store Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Previous experience working in a grocery store environment is considered an asset.
  • May be required to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods of time, and complete physical work including but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching.
