Job Description

Midland Transport is currently seeking a part-time Class 1 P&D Tractor Driver based in Saint John, NB Terminal. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic and great and positive attitude with a commitment to provide a Superior Quality service.

Main Role

The driver will be responsible for picking up and delivering goods to customers in the Saint John area, while upholding company standards and managing time efficiently. Enthusiastic, great attitude and exceptional customer service skills are a must to join the team.

Schedule

Hours may vary depending on operational needs.

Full shift on Mondays & Fridays (7:30 AM – 5:30 PM).

On-call for the remainder of the week.

Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient, reliable, professional service to customers
  • Work with variable shipment weight and freight handling equipment
  • Process daily pickup and delivery records
  • Scheduled activity based on daily shipment volumes and customer demand
  • Operate the trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation
  • Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of safe tractor driving experience.
  • Class one (1) driver's license.
  • Clean driver's abstract and criminal search.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to provide Superior Quality Service
  • Safety conscious.
