We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer with a deep expertise in vehicle depot design for light, medium and heavy duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will lead all technical aspects related to field of the civil engineering for customer fleets including traffic flows, parking arrangements, stormwater management, lot design, and building layouts.

What you can expect to do here:
  • Lead the technical development of transit and ZEV projects as it relates to the field of civil engineering.
  • Prepare, review, and approve civil drawings including but not limited to site plans, grading, drainage/stormwater management, foundations, trenching, traffic flow, and lighting locations.
  • Support the development of feasibility studies.
  • Work with architectural firms to develop new building designs and layouts.
  • Work with various disciplines to prepare complete specifications and design packages.
  • Review federal, municipal, and client standards to ensure design are compliant.
  • Work with clients to identify their needs and transpose them into requirement registers.
  • Oversee members of the design & drafting team.
  • Prepare, review, and approve electrical equipment installation specifications with respect to foundations, mechanical protections, and other civil components.
  • Attend project technical reviews.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders including the client, utility providers, and municipal agencies with the support of the Project Manager.
  • Prepare and analyze bids and tender documents with respect to civil engineering.
  • Ensure deadlines are respected and that the quality of deliverables is ensured.
  • Represent the firm to clients.
What you'll bring to WSP:
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering
  • 3+ years of active Canadian Professional Engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience on EV Charging projects.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineering in one (1) or more provinces/Territories.
  • Fluent in the English language. Bilingual French and English is highly valued.
Compensation

Salary range (in British Columbia): $91 200 - $125 400
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
