A leading health care provider in Ontario is seeking a Chief of Anesthesia to advocate for patient safety, develop a top-tier anesthesia team, and provide strategic leadership. Candidates must possess an FRCPC in Anesthesiology and have a proven track record in clinical leadership. This key role will impact healthcare delivery in the Niagara Region.
Our client, Niagara Health (NH), is one of the largest multi-site health care systems in Ontario serving more than 450,000 residents within the Regional Municipality of Niagara. Providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, NH has over 1,000 beds, 7,300 employees, physicians, and volunteers, and a $801M operating revenue budget.
Anesthesiologists annually support 32,333 procedures, 6,508 Endoscopy cases, 3,506 deliveries, 771 ECT cases and 484 pacemaker insertions. With a one million square foot state-of-the-art hospital in St. Catharines, and a new 1.5 million square foot ultramodern hospital coming to South Niagara Falls in 2028, with 10 state of the art operating rooms, there will be a transformation of healthcare service delivery throughout the Niagara Region.
Strong academic partnerships are a priority for NH as the organization builds on a robust relationship with McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. NH is seeking an advocate of patient safety, quality and performance management, who will have the exciting mandate of further developing a top-tier team while expanding the NH’s Anesthesia service.
