A leading maritime transportation company is seeking a Chief Engineer for a contract position in Atlantic Canada. The successful candidate will oversee the engine department, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery aboard the vessel. Requirements include proficiency in English, 6+ years of experience, and several specialized endorsements. This role offers an annual salary of $250,000 with a rotation of approximately six weeks on/off.

Contract: March 1, 2026 - February 28, 2027
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the administration of the engine department, for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of all machinery throughout the vessel and for the maintenance of equipment. He/she is responsible for the performance of all machinery, maintenance, inventory of stores, and personnel. This position is a leading role on board the vessel and enforces company policies and ensuring procedures are followed to provide safe working practices and a safe working environment that minimizes the potential for pollution.
