Job Description

Our Chef de Partie delivers consistency, efficiency, and precision on the line. They take pride in their work, maintain high standards in every task, and consistently execute dishes to specification. Focused and organized, they work clean, stay calm under pressure, and support smooth service from prep to pass. They respond to guest requests with professionalism and flexibility, and bring a sharp sense of timing, teamwork, and accountability to every shift.

They also lead by example—setting the tone for our cooks, supporting skill development, and helping maintain a disciplined, collaborative kitchen culture.

The Day to Day :

  1. Perform delegated tasks from the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and/or General Manager
  2. Day-to-day food preparation of the restaurant according to O&B standards
  3. Cook and plate dishes with precision, consistency, and attention to detail, maintaining high standards during every service
  4. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
  5. Maintain a prep list of station duties
  6. Follow the FIFO method to maximize freshness
  7. Assist in food inventory and control
  8. Assist in properly receiving and storing delivered items
  9. Clean food prep areas, equipment, and utensils, and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
  10. Strictly adhere to WHMIS and MSDS guidelines
  11. Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Qualifications

  • 3+ years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Culinary diploma/degree is an asset
  • An understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Able to spend 100% of the time standing
  • Valid Food Handler's certificate, preferred
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
