Job description
Overview

Our client in Brantford is hiring a weekend shift Certified Millwright or a minimum 3rd year Millwright Apprentice!

This position requires a Millwright with proven communication and documentation skills, who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a growing, progressive company.

Wage

Wage: $34-$45 hourly based on experience and/or if ticketed, plus shift premium where applicable

Shift

Shift: Fri- Sun OR Sat – Mon., Day Shift (7am-7pm) or Night shift (7pm-7am) – you will be paid for the full 40 hours.

Duties
  • Troubleshooting of machinery to minimize down time
  • Contributing to the development & implementation of programs and equipment upgrades
  • Create work orders and assist in the planning of jobs and projects
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Millwright or a Millwright Apprentice in their 3rd year; manufacturing setting is an asset
  • Strong decision making, problem solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent technical skills, mechanical aptitude and ability
  • Ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines
  • Skills such as electrical troubleshooting, Power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, plumbing, fabrication, and other areas as needed
