A community college in British Columbia seeks a qualified individual to teach Carpentry to high school students. The position is part-time during the summer months of July and August, requiring a minimum of five years of experience in related trades. Candidates must have a valid driver's license to travel to various camp locations. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to student motivation and safety. Salary: Wages will be negotiated (non-bargaining work/non-credit)
Northern Lights College's Continuing Education Department is looking to hire an individual with experience in the field of Carpentry and has an interest in passing along their knowledge to our youth.
Camps will run in each location in July and August for a duration of 5 consecutive days, from 9:30am – 3:00pm and will be focused on youth in grades 8 through 12. The successful candidate will be required to successfully pass a Police Information Check prior to the start of the contract.
There may be opportunity to run 3-day camps in nearby communities – the successful candidate must be able to drive a truck with a tow trailer to these locations.
