A regional educational institution in Nova Scotia is seeking a Community Outreach Worker to support children and families in schools. The role includes providing services, facilitating programming, and ensuring families have access to community resources. Ideal candidates will have a BSW degree and strong organizational and communication skills. The role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and is a term position with flexible hours.

The Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education is seeking the services of a Community Outreach Worker. The successful candidate will work as a full member of the Nova Family Support Team, providing direct support to children, youth and families of schools in the Celtic Family and will assist in navigating children, youth and their families to services and resources in the community. The Community Outreach Worker will work collaboratively with other school and agency staff to ensure that the student and/or their family have timely access to services and programs required. This position is also responsible for the facilitation of after school programming and group programming throughout the school day which may require flexibility with the successful candidate's work schedule.
Successful applicants will be required to provide a Child Abuse Registry Check and a Criminal Records Check/Vulnerable Sector Check prior to commencing employment in accordance with CCRCE policies and procedures.
School assignments may change within Celtic Family at the direction of the SchoolsPlus Facilitators to meet operational needs.
