Job summary

Competition #: CC#25-02-239 Position: Librarian Union: NSGEU Family of Schools: Cobequid Location(s): Tatamagouche Regional Academy Hours Per Day: 6.25 Hours Per Week: 12.50 School Hours: 8:20am-2:20pm Assignment Hours: 8:00am-2:30pm Days: Tue,Thu Status: Regular Part-time Percentage: 10 Months Salary: In Accordance with the NSGEU collective agreement Additional Info: Post Date: Monday July 14, 2025 Close Date: Tuesday August 5, 2025 at 12:00:00PM Anticipated Start Date: Tuesday September 2, 2025 End Date: 06/30/2026 Introduction Reporting to the School Principal(s), the Librarian will be responsible for organizing, planning and managing the School Library within designated schools.

- Ability to apply in-depth subject knowledge acquired at the undergraduate level of education
- Ability to model for students and staff, strategies for locating, assessing and evaluating information within and beyond the school library

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective interaction with all staff and students
- Ability to effectively lead a team as well as work as a team player and provide support as required
