Job summary

A catering bartender prepares, mixes and serves drinks and beverages to either customers directly or through serving staff. The catering bartender arrives at events and completes set up and take down of temporary bar set ups.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and applies knowledge of available beverages for event
  • Make recommendations and answer all related inquiries
  • Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age
  • Take orders from serving staff directly or from customers
  • Record drink orders accurately into register system to POS when needed
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
  • Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Mix and garnish cocktails according to standard specs
  • Respond promptly to requests from customers in a polite and professional fashion
  • Alert event manager related to customers’ excessive drinking by following established procedures
  • Prepare checks for customers according to event venue
  • Process customer payments according to event venue
  • Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas
  • Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies
  • Inventory beer, wine and liquor pre and post event
Qualifications and Education Requirements

-Minimum age requirement of 21

-Working knowledge of standard drink recipes

-Working knowledge of spirits, wine and beer

-Working knowledge of bar equipment

-Able to work flexible schedules

-Able to work in a standing position for long periods

-Be able to reach and bend frequently lift up to 30lbs.

-Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation

Compensation and Benefits

Starting rate at $18+/hr! We offer an excellent medical, dental, vision, & life insurance package including 401k to full-time employees.
