Qualifications

  • Graduate from an approved Care Aide, RCA, Nursing assistant, or PSW program.
  • Registered and in good standing with the BC Care Aide Registry.
  • Must have a valid Canadian work permit.
  • Current First Aid, WHMIS and Food Safe Certificates.
  • Must be in good health and be physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
  • Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
  • COVID-19 Immunization Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic personal, emotional and psychosocial care to residents.
  • Assist in personal hygiene, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
  • Use specialized equipment for care.
  • Participate in facility meetings and education programs.
  • Monitor, report, and document changes in resident’s health status.
