The Opportunity
The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Casual Educational Assistant (EA). This opening is specifically for a position on our EA Supply List. This is a 10-month position (September to June) to start as soon as possible.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing temporary and/or short term coverage for EA employee absences on an as-needed basis in both elementary and secondary English and French Immersion Programs.
Location
All geographical areas of the Board including North Wellington, Centre Wellington, East Wellington, Guelph, Orangeville, Dufferin County and Shelburne; however Casual Supply EAs may select specified areas in which they would like to work.
Hours of work/FTE
While there is no guarantee of hours per week as this is a casual position, a casual employee with full availability could work full time (1.0 FTE; 32.5 hours per week) depending on need. As a member of the EA Supply List, you will have the opportunity to apply for vacant permanent or temporary positions as they arise, with possible consideration over external applicants.
Rate Of Pay / Salary Range
$30.92 per hour; wage rate effective September 1, 2025, plus applicable vacation pay, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act

Reporting to the school Principal, the successful candidate must possess willingness, along with the physical ability to work with all our students who have diverse needs.
