We are seeking a seasoned Cargo Sales Manager in Canada with experience and a passion for the air charter, aviation, freight forwarding, logistics, or travel industry.
Purpose of the Role
Key Job Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify opportunities to grow the business in new and existing markets to meet business objectives.
- Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations to identify business opportunities, raise profile, and enhance brand recognition of the Chapman Freeborn Group.
- Attend exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and networking activities to expand market presence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with operators/vendors within the region.
- Promote all group products and services to new clients, exposing the company to a wider audience.
Sales Strategy
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities across all cargo products (brokerage, Magma scheduled service, OBC) and key verticals (Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Government & Humanitarian).
- Develop regional sales strategies focusing on key areas and clients (forwarders, shippers, agencies).
- Align all commercial activities within the region and understand relevant markets.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new clients and suppliers.
- Create and implement commercial plans aligned with overall strategies, including sales, marketing, and supplier strategies.
- Monitor progress monthly against sales strategies and report regularly to the Senior Vice President of Cargo.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the local market.
- Experience in aviation, cargo, or air charter industry.
- Team player capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship building, account management, and customer service skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Analytical and goal-oriented.
- Ability to balance client needs with business objectives.
