A regional health authority in Nova Scotia is seeking a Cardiology Technologist to perform non-invasive cardiology procedures. The ideal candidate is certified by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and holds a diploma in Cardiology Technology. Responsibilities include routine equipment maintenance and managing cardiac records using computerized systems. Effective teamwork and communication skills are essential. Reporting to the Manager or designate, and as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Cardiology Technologist performs a variety of non-invasive cardiology procedures and routine maintenance of equipment. Using a personal computer and related software, performs database functions, including editing of electrocardiograms, storage and retrieval of cardiac records, and related clerical duties.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
