Overview

Position Summary... The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The Pharmacy Manager must also see that the Pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Pharmacy and OTC teams including participation in the recruitment and interviewing of candidates, train all associates on OBWs/SOPs and Walmart workflow and ensure their execution.
  • Develop, assess, motivate and retain team members. Promote Walmart's brand to team members and customers.
  • Develop a functional and collaborative relationship with the Prof Services District Manager, Store Management team, and Store Manager.
  • Operate Pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets.
  • Schedule associates efficiently according to business needs, conduct ongoing assessment and periodic performance reviews.
  • Develop and execute business action plans to meet corporate goals; implement corrective actions based on deficiencies identified in reports (P&L, FSA visits, POAs, etc.) or audits and DM visits.
  • Maintain accurate inventories in the Pharmacy by following Walmart OBWs/SOPs (receiving inventory management, disposal of expired products); address customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain the professional image for the Pharmacy area as per Workstation Standardization and 6S Audit; cascade communication from the SSC to all Pharmacy associates and OTC.
  • Execute all programs assigned to the Pharmacy by the Prof Services team.
  • Develop and establish collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, community, etc.).
  • Ensure Pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours; supervise and support the OTC manager in their daily duties; locate merchandise on the sales floor to ensure excellent patient experience.
  • Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals; ensure prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products.
  • Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products; execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs.
  • Operate all pharmacy equipment (register, computer system, etc.); protect and maintain patient privacy and follow provincial regulations.
  • Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet patient needs; ensure Pharmacy is open during posted hours.

Note: The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $67.20/hr. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
