Job summary

A leading Canadian service provider in Fort St. John is seeking a Second Cook to enhance kitchen operations at a camp facility. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of cooking experience and hold a FoodSafe Level I certification. Responsibilities include ensuring food quality standards, preparing food items, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. This position offers a 20 days on/10 days off rotation, excellent work-life balance, and full health benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years’ cooking experience in a similar or hotel/institutional environment preferred.
  • Able to obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the overall kitchen operations and maintenance.
  • Ensure consistent quality standards in food preparation.
  • Prepare food items for sandwich making including cutting and wrapping.
