Job description

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Tasks:

  1. Develop budget to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies
  2. Evaluate daily operations
  3. Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  4. Monitor staff performance
  5. Plan and organize daily operations
  6. Recruit staff
  7. Set staff work schedules
  8. Supervise staff
  9. Train staff
  10. Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  11. Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  12. Conduct performance reviews
  13. Cost products and services
  14. Organize and maintain inventory
  15. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  16. Lead/instruct individuals
  17. Address customers' complaints or concerns
  18. Provide customer service

Supervision: 5-10 people

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: First Aid Certificate, Food Safety Certificate
