THE JOB

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Officer to acquire new clients and retain and grow existing accounts. This is an exciting opportunity due to a new long-term growth strategy in North America. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving annual revenue goals through consultative sales to new clients and renewing existing policies.
  • Building a portfolio aligned with Coface’s strategic growth and retention objectives.
  • Generating leads from banks, insurance agencies, and direct cold calling to business owners and CFOs.
  • Marketing and selling specialized financial products, including domestic and export credit insurance and related services.
  • Servicing clients by monitoring their programs and coverage.
  • Researching and identifying new business opportunities and analyzing sales options.
  • Participating in workshops to enhance technical and professional skills.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and competitors to suggest improvements or new products.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in financial, banking, or insurance solutions.
  • Experience with Trade Credit Insurance is a plus.
  • Strong cold-calling and new business development skills; comfortable in a fast-paced environment with high activity volume.
  • Proven success in client acquisition and retention.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Robust network within the designated territory.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to obtain a P&C License or pass the P&C course within 45 days of start date.
