Job Description

Job Purpose:

Sanmina Corporation is looking for a dynamic person to join our Sales team. The Business Development Manager will be fundamental in growing new business for Sanmina Corporation globally with customers located in the Canadian region. The BDM will lead opportunities from origination to post-sales support. This person must have the ability to establish a sales business plan, execute on that plan, and meet the goals set for their region. The person in this role will be accountable for increasing sales with new customers and identifying and pursuing potential Sanmina vertical integration opportunities with customers. This person must work seamlessly across multiple groups within Sanmina and work independently to drive new business opportunities.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deploy account strategies in conjunction with Management to achieve objectives.
  2. Responsibly target EMS and component business aligned with Sanmina’s strategy to ensure market share growth and strategic positioning.
  3. Meet and exceed sales revenue targets.
  4. Communicate issues and problems back into the company to drive resolution.
  5. Identify, qualify, and close new business in line with quotas, engaging cross-functional teams as needed.
  6. Update sales data systems regularly with customer data, opportunities, and call plans.
  7. Manage RFQs and collaborate with management to ensure timely responses and successful outcomes.
Education/Experience Requirements
  1. 5-10 years of experience in a direct customer sales role supporting large OEMs.
  2. Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or business.
  3. Experience in the EMS or electronics industry is required.
  4. Knowledge of the Canadian electronics market, customers, and opportunities.
  5. Supply chain experience is preferred.
  6. Experience in high-tech applications across various market segments.
  7. Motivated with an entrepreneurial outlook, strong work ethics, and integrity.
  8. Proven success in developing and winning new accounts.
  9. Excellent skills in MS Office and Google cloud tools.
  10. Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  11. Experience working with remote cross-functional teams in large organizations.
  12. Ability to travel overnight as required.
  13. Legal ability to work in Canada; location in Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal preferred.
