Location: Greater Toronto Area
Reporting to: Engineering Solutions Manager
Compensation: Base salary $100,000+ (commensurate with experience) plus uncapped commission and bonus, company vehicle, and full benefits
Overview

Reporting to the Engineering Solutions Manager, the Business Development Representative will drive growth through engineering specification, consulting, and relationship development across the GTA construction market. This role is focused on influencing design decisions, supporting technical specifications, and expanding adoption of innovative engineering-focused solutions with engineers, consultants, owners, and key stakeholders.

This opportunity suits a technically minded, consultative sales professional with established credibility and relationships within the GTA engineering and construction community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow new business through targeted engagement with engineers, consultants, owners, and decision-makers.
  • Influence project outcomes through specification-driven selling and technical consultation.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of product applications, technical capabilities, and market use cases.
  • Develop, support, and present engineering design specifications aligned with project and industry standards.
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships to support repeat business and market expansion.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or Business (BCom); Master’s degree or MBA considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in business development or technical sales within construction and engineering markets, with strong GTA exposure.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles and engaging engineering and owner-level stakeholders.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Professional, relationship-focused approach with excellent presentation and communication skills.
