What are your contributions to the team?

The hiring team is responsible for Bombardier’s worldwide distribution network stocking strategy supporting unscheduled and scheduled maintenance around the globe. The group is also responsible to generate stocking strategies to enabling fleet operators to achieve their objectives and is leading supplier collaboration initiatives to enhance supply chain predictability.

The location for this position could be either Toronto or Montreal (Dorval).

In this role, you will:
  • Participate in the development and implementation of forecasting and planning strategies in line with global / regional / local service objective while complying to budget constraints.
  • Participate in recurring inventory planning and strategy session including multi-year budget reviews and scenario-based planning exercise with cross-functional groups within materials management, service centers, sales and finance.
  • Analyze, problem solve and suggest improvements to inventory management practices within our worldwide parts network to improve parts availability and / or inventory turns.
  • Interact cross functionally with various teams to address inventory related topics such as capacity needs, new business models stock requirements, shortages and supply chains issues / root cause.
  • Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to augment your or the team’s operational processes efficiencies
  • Support excess and obsolete inventory management initiatives through the analysis of relevant data, development of action plans and recommendations. Project management of activities to optimize inventory holdings
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis requirements as needed
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a university degree in Business Management, statistics, or operations management related field combined with 2 or more years of experience in Supply Chain Management. Masters, ASCM, or other relevant certification, After-market inventory planning and Aerospace industry context knowledge are considered as assets.
  • You exhibit a continuous improvement mindset with relevant experience in improving business processes.
  • You have strong capacity for data analytics with large datasets using relevant technologies to automate and improve analytical insights.
  • You hold knowledge of core supply chain concepts, processes, and systems with a focus on inventory planning, forecasting and control. Able to understand how different departments and processes intersect to impact supply chain processes.
  • You have appropriate interpersonal skills and communication methods to effectively develop presentations, present business cases and communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • You are flexible and adaptable to constant change with the ability to anticipate business needs and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • You are self-motivated and resourceful with great organizational skills leading to deliver on time, consistently.
  • You are team player, customer service focused individual who can work collaboratively within cross functional groups in a global network.
  • You have proficient Computer skills – MS Suite, Excel, Access, Power BI, SQL, Python / R Studio, Azure Synapse, with the ability and excitement to learn new tools as they become available.
  • Occasional travel may be required in this role.
  • Bilingualism in French and English are an asset.
