Title: Business Analyst II

Status: Full Time

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000

Location: In Office role at the Delta head office

About the Role

This role combines finance, systems, and digital transformation to support strategic decision making and business evolution. We're looking for a Business Analyst who doesn't just analyze numbers, but challenges processes, modernizes systems, and helps the business plan for what's next. You'll partner closely with leadership to turn financial, operational, and workforce data into insight, build smarter forecasting models, and improve how finance and people systems work together. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys complexity, embraces technology, and believes finance should be a strategic driver.

What You’ll Do
Financial Forecasting, Planning & Strategic Insight
  • Build and maintain robust financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support short and long term planning
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, reforecasting, and strategic decision making
  • Develop business cases and financial analyses for new initiatives, investments, and system enhancements
  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across revenue, costs, margins, and headcount
Systems, Analytics & Digital Transformation
  • Analyze current state financial and operational processes and design optimized, future thinking workflows
  • Lead and support financial system optimization, implementations and integrations (Microsoft Business Central, Power BI and JET Reports)
  • Define business requirements, functional specifications, and end to end data flows
  • Design dashboards and reporting for financial performance, productivity, and workforce related costs
  • Build automation and analytical tools to reduce manual reporting and improve forecasting accuracy
  • Ensure strong data integrity and alignment across financial, operational, and people systems
Who You Are
  • Newly CPA designation in good standing
  • 5+ years' experience in FP&A, business analysis, or a similar role
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning
  • Comfortable with automation, advanced analytics, and data tools
  • Systems thinker who understands how finance, people, and technology connect
  • Clear communicator who translates complexity into clarity
  • Proactive, ownership driven, and comfortable influencing cross functionally
  • Detail oriented with strong big picture perspective
