Job description

We are looking for a Business Analyst for a 6 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 4 days a week on site in Downtown Calgary.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team, focusing on designing and implementing technical integrations between various platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements, analyze system capabilities, and develop solutions to integrate multiple systems, enabling seamless data exchange and workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for technical integrations.
  2. Analyze existing systems, including software applications, databases, and infrastructure, to determine integration feasibility and potential roadblocks.
  3. Collaborate with enterprise architects and Salesforce architects to design and propose technical integration solutions, including data mapping, workflow automation, and system interfaces.
  4. Work with development teams to implement integration solutions, ensuring that they meet business requirements and are aligned with organizational standards.
  5. Investigate and resolve integration-related defects, providing timely and effective support to the QE team and other stakeholders.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of integration designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  7. Communicate integration plans, progress, and results to stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations are managed.
  8. Also collaborate with other Business Systems Analysts to align on functional standards across the ADX program.
Technical Skills
  • Integration technologies: Experience with integration platforms, APIs, and messaging systems (e.g., MuleSoft, Apache Kafka, RESTful APIs).
  • Data formats and protocols: Familiarity with data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV) and protocols (e.g., HTTP, FTP, SFTP).
  • Database management: Knowledge of database concepts and experience with database management systems (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL databases).
  • Cloud platforms: Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration capabilities.
Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree: In Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years: Of experience in a business systems analyst or related role, with a focus on technical integrations.
  3. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL or Salesforce) are a nice to have.
