Building Maintenance Coordinator

We are looking for a Building Maintenance Coordinator who takes pride in hands‑on work, enjoys solving problems, and is ready to support the day‑to‑day upkeep of our properties. As our Building Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming. You’ll take a proactive approach to building maintenance by staying ahead of issues, completing routine repairs, coordinating major projects with skilled trades, and responding to service requests from store teams and tenants. Location

This role is primarily based throughout our dealerships in the HRM, however some travel to our locations across Atlantic Canada may be required, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are important.

Compensation

$65,000 - $80,000/year, based on knowledge, skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep of the facility
  • Visually inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems to ensure proper operation
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and oversee contractors for larger projects
  • Respond promptly to service requests from store teams and tenants
  • Manage vendor relationships, obtain quotes, and ensure work meets quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all work follows safety and building regulations
  • Support or supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and training as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned to keep facilities running smoothly
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear and professional communication skills for working with staff, tenants, and vendors
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work at heights, and complete physically demanding tasks
