The transmission line will extend from the Lakehead Transformer Station in Shuniah to the Mackenzie Transformer Station in Atikokan, with a further extension to the Dryden Transformer Station in Dryden. Construction is planned in two phases: the first phase, from Shuniah to Atikokan, is expected to be operational by the end of 2025, while the second phase, from Atikokan to Dryden is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.
