Duncan and Todd Opticians is recruiting a Branch Manager to lead its Elgin practice and drive high standards of patient care, team performance, and day to day operations.
With more than 40 years of experience across Scotland, the Duncan and Todd Group is one of the country’s leading optical and hearing care providers, operating a trusted portfolio of well known brands and serving communities nationwide.
This is a hands on leadership role for someone with experience in an optical practice environment who enjoys responsibility, people management, and delivering excellent patient experiences.
You will take full responsibility for the daily running and overall success of the Elgin branch, leading the team, managing stock and premises, and ensuring professional and clinical standards are maintained at all times.
You will support and advise patients on spectacles, lenses, and contact lenses, building strong relationships and resolving queries with care and confidence.
You will motivate, coach, and develop the practice team, supporting training, performance reviews, and succession planning, with a strong focus on internal progression.
You will manage the appointment diary, balancing patient demand with staff availability, and oversee patient records, databases, and NHS administration.
You will work closely with Head Office teams and act as the senior point of contact within the practice, leading by example every day.
You will have previous experience working in an optical practice, which is essential for this role.
You will be a confident people manager with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead from the front.
You will be organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
A qualification to FBDO level is preferred but not essential.
