Basic Function

This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting all aspects of Clinical programs with a specific focus on patient intake, nurse/pharmacist availability, scheduling, and communication to support the program(s) in a designated region.

Nature and Scope

The Senior Coordinator, Clinical Programs will provide superior customer service when coordinating scheduling of services with identified Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM) retail pharmacies, patients, and HCP. Attention to business objectives and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) identified for the program(s) will be fundamental to the success.

What you will do
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external clients to facilitate communication to ensure patient satisfaction and KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with SDM, regional nursing team, nursing sub-contract agencies, program and nursing management.
  • Manage multiple computer systems for input and scheduling.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation received at time of patient enrollment and timely follow up for enrollments.
  • Review Post Visit Nurse/Pharmacist Report completion and follow up, including collection and filing of hard copies where applicable.
  • Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event per current policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate ordering and deliveries and track all clinical supplies as required for the programs.
  • Report feedback from patients regarding services rendered as part of the program to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolutions for HCP and urgent clinic issues and support problem solving to resolution.
  • Identify processes improvements for multiple computer applications to achieve efficient daily workflow.
What you will need
  • 2-3 years’ experience coordinating health related services directly to patients and in collaboration with other health professionals (i.e., physicians, nurses, pharmacists).
  • Good understanding of Specialty Pharmacy business, structure of patient support programs, delivery of program services, customer base and how to deliver client-centered services.
  • Excellent customer relations, problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills.
  • High level of competency with computer systems.
  • Ability to work 8‑hour shifts between 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM EST.
  • Bilingual French Canadian is required.

  • Il est responsable de l’examen du rapport de l’infirmière/du pharmacien après la visite, y compris la collecte et le classement des copies papier lorsque applicable.
  • Signaler tous les événements indésirables (AE) et les plaintes techniques concernant les produits (PTC) immédiatement ou dès que possible après avoir pris connaissance de l’événement conformément aux politiques et procédures en vigueur.
  • Coordonner les commandes et les livraisons et assurer le suivi de toutes les fournitures cliniques requises pour les programmes.
  • Rapporter les commentaires des patients concernant les services fournis dans le cadre du programme afin d’assurer l’amélioration continue de la qualité.
  • Assurer une résolution rapide et efficace des problèmes du HCP et des problèmes cliniques urgents et soutenir la résolution du problème jusqu’à son résolution.
  • Assurer l’identification des améliorations des processus pour de multiples applications informatiques afin d’assurer un flux de travail quotidien efficace.
Ce que vous devez savoir
  • 2 à 3 ans d’expérience dans la coordination de services de santé directement auprès des patients et en collaboration avec d’autres professionnels de santé (médecins, infirmières, pharmaciens).
  • Bonne compréhension des activités des pharmacies spécialisées, de la structure des programmes de soutien aux patients, de la prestation des services des programmes, de la clientèle et de la façon de fournir des services centrés sur le client.
  • Excellentes relations avec la clientèle, résolution de problèmes, compétences organisationnelles et de communication.
  • Haut niveau de compétence avec les systèmes informatiques.
  • Capacité à travailler par quarts de 8 heures entre 8 h et 20 h (heure de l’Est).
  • Le bilinguisme français‑canadien est exigé.
