A regional educational board in Cambridge is seeking B.A.S.S. Employees to support play-based programming for children in junior kindergarten to grade 6. Responsibilities include fostering positive interactions, supporting self-regulation, and ensuring children's well-being and safety. Candidates must have a high school diploma and prior experience in supervision, along with a willingness to obtain First Aid certification.
Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) serves approximately 65,000 students in 123 schools, as well as alternative and continuing education sites. B.A.S.S. employees will work alongside a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) to support play‑based programming for students in junior kindergarten to grade 6 who are registered in WRDSB’s Before and After school program to provide general student supervision.
Applications must include submitting a portfolio with qualifications, experience, and proof of Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check including the Vulnerable Sector, to be received in Human Resources prior to the commencement of employment. The Board does not assume any costs associated with the Criminal Reference Check. Social Insurance Number (SIN), date of birth, and proof of educational qualifications will be required at the time of an offer.
