Job Summary
The Lodge at Hocking College is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Part-Time Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This position involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, stockkeeping, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and responding to inquiries about the menu and drink options.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste properly.
- Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice, to ensure efficient service.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service and ID verification for age restrictions.
- Collaborate with front office staff and other team members to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, following company policies for cash handling.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of bar functions and special events as needed.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required to stay updated on menu changes and service standards.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous bartending or relevant experience preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certification in responsible beverage service is a plus.
