Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and personable Bartender to join our team, delivering exceptional service and crafting quality beverages for our guests. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for mixology, a comprehensive understanding of drink recipes, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Preparation: Skillfully prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Bar Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, glassware, and ingredients.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all provincial and federal laws regarding the sale and service of alcohol, including verifying legal drinking age and refusing service to intoxicated patrons.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately process payments and manage cash transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, reporting shortages, and assisting with restocking as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a bartender or in a customer-facing role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in mixing drinks, understanding of various spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail recipes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Possession of the relevant provincial responsible alcohol service certification (e.g., Smart Serve in Ontario, Serving It Right in British Columbia, ProServe in Alberta).
  • Legal Requirements: Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol in the respective province or territory.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring physical effort.
