What you will be doing

As a Banquet Manager, you’ll lead with professionalism, grace, and confidence to create an elevated guest experience. You will ensure the team is supported, encouraged to succeed, and that our inclusive and fun culture is maintained.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Create a memorable guest experience including menu execution, overall experience, and soliciting feedback
  • Supervise and coach all service team members, demonstrating superior customer service and living our purpose, vision, and values
  • Assist with developing and delivering regular training to service team members
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and propose operational improvements
  • Maintain high team engagement by upholding culture standards and providing regular feedback
  • Oversee ordering of bar and event décor inventory
  • Develop weekly staff schedules based on event bookings and labour budgets; approve timesheets for payroll
  • Collaborate with People & Culture on recruitment, training, scheduling, coaching, and recognition
  • Build strong relationships with guests and employees by maintaining a regular presence on the floor during key times
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for food and beverage operations and timely licensing applications
  • Act as a Duty Manager for the hotel as required
What you bring
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in hospitality/tourism; banquet or catering experience preferred
  • Post-secondary education in a related field preferred
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • A guest-first mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality
  • Able to work on a variable schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
