A mining company operating in the Arctic is seeking a community representative for their Arctic Bay location. This role involves engaging with local community members, facilitating training programs, and supporting recruitment initiatives. The ideal candidate is fluent in Inuktitut and English, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong connection with the community. Responsibilities include attending meetings, translating, and providing feedback to management.

Serve as representative of the Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation (Baffinland or BIM) in Arctic Bay. Reporting to the Northern Affairs Manager in Iqaluit to assist in providing information to the community, conducting various community meetings, assist in developing and coordinating skills/training programs, supporting recruitment programs, assist in implementing commitments as outlined in the IIBA and Project Certificate and various other tasks and responsibilities as required.
*This job is based out of Arctic Bay, Nunavut, and it is not a Fly-in/Fly-out position.
