Spare Cafeteria Worker

Annapolis County, Kings County, Hants County

Hours of work: As needed basis

Rate of pay as per CUPE Collective Agreement ($20.60)

Under the direction of the Principal and School Food Facilitator, the successful candidate for this position will be required to perform a wide variety of cafeteria duties.

Qualifications and Abilities
  • The successful candidate must be physically able to perform duties.
  • Possess the knowledge experience in food preparation and menu preparation.
  • Must be organized and have clean work habits.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Safe Food Handling Course considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Cooking, baking and preparation of food.
  • Selling canteen items at recess and noon.
  • Kitchen duties (stocking shelves, cleaning dishes, etc.)
  • Support school recycling program, keeping daily accounts and inventory control and cashier, as required.
