Job Description

The Associate MCC / MCS program is a 6–9‑month development program to complete all of the Associate MCC/MCS training components. In the role of Manager Commercial Credit (MCC) you are principally responsible for managing the credit and operational risk for a unit’s commercial loan portfolio. You are a subject‑matter expert and have the ability to analyze and understand credit proposals from a variety of industries. You can anticipate and assess the risks associated with entering into a lending relationship under a wide range of economic scenarios and ensure loan agreements are structured to be relevant, supportive, and competitive for the bank and our clients on an ongoing basis. You will assess, analyze, and perform due diligence in support of all applications, approving credits within delegated limits and making recommendations on all others. You will interface with TD’s risk‑management group on a regular basis to ensure that your understanding of the Bank’s risk models and pricing platforms allows you to effectively interpret and apply policy. Recognizing that your credibility and influence with them is based on the credit proposals that are crafted and presented by your team, you make the development of your Account Managers and Analysts risk‑evaluation skills your primary priority. Thus, you will establish yourself as a trusted business leader who is sought after for guidance regarding matters relating to the credit facilities that are supporting the client’s business strategy. You support your Account Manager and Analysts’ efforts to meet their business development targets by recommending credit packaging alternatives and actively discussing credit solutions.
