Portfolio Management duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct appropriate Know Your Client meetings, set an appropriate mandate, and fulfill all fiduciary obligations. Keep appropriate documentation and notes for all meetings conducted. Always act in your client’s best interest.
- Build a warm and trusting relationship with clients as much as possible. Strong communications skills with clients, QWealth Staff, and our team.
- Set an appropriate asset mix to match the clients’ mandates, needs, and investment restrictions.
- Update client KYC data and complete suitability reviews every 365 days for each client. Provide daily oversight of client trading of their portfolios while maintaining proper asset mixes in d1g1t and keep accurate and complete client documentation records for any exceptions. Monitor client portfolios to ensure they are within Mandate/IPS ranges.
- Respond to client inquiries/requests which require analytical detail and knowledge of investment products and the investment industry. As needed, discuss the economy, market conditions, and portfolio performance with Wealth Advisors and clients.
- Work closely with the client’s Financial Planner/Wealth Advisor to facilitate the integration of the financial planning and investment strategy goals.
- Exhibit constructive issue resolution where required.
- Participate in the investment committee and sub-committees.
- Any other functions which may require the services of an Advising Representative.
Associate Portfolio Management duties, if not eligible for PM registration, consist of pre-approved advice and supervision by a Portfolio Manager.
