A leading animal health company in Alberta is seeking an experienced veterinary leader to manage a team of field veterinarians and drive technical expertise in cattle and equine products. Candidates should possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, a minimum of 5 years in clinical veterinary care and industry roles, and strong leadership skills. What to Expect

  • Collaborate closely with sales and key accounts to enhance client engagement and optimize sales effectiveness.
  • Set strategic objectives while managing departmental budgets and resources effectively.
  • Provide medical and technical leadership to the Cattle & Equine business within the Livestock Business Unit.
  • Represent the employer at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations.
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical veterinary experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in industry roles involving technical services, medical marketing, or veterinary operations.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and budgets.
  • Must have an active or be eligible for a provincial veterinary license and be in good standing.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Postgraduate training or specialization in cattle or equine medicine is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and educate diverse audiences.
  • Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts and translate them into actionable business insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with clinical research and scientific literature review.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
